Star Acts Entertainments is the success story of Anthony Docherty & Ray Pallett's joint partnership in 1995 of RP Entertainments Agency. Sadly we lost Ray in February 2008 but the legacy of RP Entertainments lives on in Star Acts Entertainments - the same professional approach to the industry, friendly, courteous and above all, the clients satisfaction as always being the priority.
Due to the success of RP Entertainments Agency, it was decided that the Agency should be taken to the next level - A new Website, and Image to take it forward.
RP Entertainments Agency was Ray & Anthony, Star Acts Entertainments Ltd may not have Ray in person but no-one is replacing him, no-one could !
Star Acts Entertainments Ltd will continue to do what Ray and I have done since 1995 and that is to book good quality entertainment, offer a no pressure service to clients and encourage up and coming new talent, giving them advice in their journey to perform professionally.

Ray Pallett Ray Pallett
Ray Pallett, my close friend and business partner passed away on February 6th 2008 aged only 56. Ray and I were not only business partners, we were like brothers, never far from each others company, always being involved together in what we both love - Entertainment !! Ray and I met in 1994 at a talent contest at Mr Grays Banqueting Suite in Westcliff. I was working as an Agent for Mr Grays and still very green to the business, Ray had been an Agent a little longer and was booking for the Caravan Clubs. We sat next to each other each week judging this talent contest series, and soon realised we had the same ideas about acts and entertainment in general. Mr Grays decided to sell up which gave us the opportunity to put our ideas together to form one agency.
We thought about a name for the agency, and I just said to Ray, you have a bank account in your agency name, whats the point of changing it ?, so the new RP Entertainments was born in july of 1995. In a very short space of time I learnt a lot from Ray, as although I was already an entertainer, being an agent was the other side of the fence, and Ray soon made me realise you had to think differently. Ray and I had a very good business relationship, he would do all the admin - contracts, invoices etc and I was the one with all the chat which worked very well as Ray didn't suffer fools gladly and if he didn't like you, you certainly would know it !! Ray was also a very fair man who valued honesty and loyalty very high with people in general.
The Agency grew over a period of time and driving on the way back home from one client we passed a car showroom that had a stretch limousine for sale. Ray spotted it and we both fell in love with it, it became our new toy for a couple of years, and Ray being the shrewd one out of the two of us sold it for what we paid for it !! Ray was a very big part of my life and I will miss him terribly, he was the quite one of the two of us but also the more level headed. Ray loved entertainment and he was never happier than being present at a talent contest, showcase and any pub or club where he could see entertainers. For some agents this is a chore, for Ray it was always a pleasure.
RP Entertainments Agency will continue as Ray would have wanted, but it will never be the same without my business colleague, my close friend, my virtual brother Ray Pallett.
